Sam Oakley

Managing Owner

Sam Oakley's background in environmental resource management began as a Geographic Information Systems analyst. Since founding The Oakley Group Consulting in 2020, he leverages his expertise in geography, environmental science, and arboriculture to provide the services needed by design, planning, development, & construction clients. He has principled hundreds projects throughout California.

He is a Registered Consulting Arborist No. 556 by the American Society of Consulting Arborists (ASCA) and a Board Certified Master Arborist No. WE-9474B by the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA).

Sam is certified to perform wildlife surveys by the Wildlife Training Institute, is Tree Risk Assessment Qualified (TRAQ) by the ISA, and holds a Masters Degree in Geographic Information Systems from San Francisco State University.

In his free time, he is an avid surfer and mountain biker, practitioner of martial arts, and loves to work on cars. He holds a degree as a classically-trained musician. But his real joy is spending time with his wife and children.
